Minutes of Special Meeting
December 19, 2011
The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Monday, December 19,
2011, in the Commissioners Meeting Room, County Administration Building, 102 East Front
Street, Lillington, North Carolina.

Chairman McNeill called the meeting to order at 10:00 am and led the pledge of allegiance and
invocation.
Mr. Sauer asked to withdraw the budget amendment for payment of deductible for public
official's liability coverage from consideration stating no expenses have been incurred to date.
Mr. Sauer noted staff had been working through the business elements and preparing legal
documents for signature regarding the Health Sciences Building for Central Carolina Community
College to be located at the Brightwater Science and Technology Campus. Mr. Sauer reported
the need for a public hearing regarding this project as required by N.C. General Statute.
Commissioner Andrews moved to give notice of a public hearing for the CCCC Health Sciences
Building on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 9:00 am. Vice Chairman Hill seconded the motion
which passed unanimously.
Commissioner Andrews moved to adjourn the meeting at 10:04 am. Vice Chairman Hill
seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
