RESOLUTION OF THE COUNTY OF HARNETT, NORTH CAROLINA TO MAKE AN EXCEPTION OF THE DAILY
DEPOSIT REQUIREMENT FOR THE CHILD SUPPORT OFFICE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, the County of Harnett, North Carolina (the "County') is a validly existing political
subdivision of the State of North Carolina (the "State "), existing as such under and by virtue of the
Constitution, statutes and laws of the State; and
WHEREAS, the County pursuant to N.C. G.S. §159 -32 has the authority to make an exception to
the daily deposit requirement; and
WHEREAS, the County has determined it is not cost effective for the Child Support Office of its
Department of Social Services to drive from Erwin, North Carolina to Lillington, North Carolina to make a
daily deposit or create another bank account for the small amount collected by the Child Support office;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Harnett County Board of Commissioners that the
Child Support Office of its Department of Social Services need make deposits only when the moneys on
hand amount to two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) or more, but in any event a deposit shall be made
not later than the last business day of each month.
