RESOLUTION
ESTABLISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE
OF THE
AIRPORT CAPITAL RESERVE FUND

WHEREAS, there is a need in the County of Harnett, North Carolina to maintain and improve the
Harnett Regional Jetport; and
WHEREAS, the County must bear the 10% of the cost of renovation /construction at the Harnett
Regional Jetport.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING BOARD THAT:
Section 1. The Governing Board hereby creates a Capital Reserve Fund for the purpose of
setting aside the local match required.
Section 2 . This fund will remain operational for a period not to exceed 10 years (beginning July
1, 2010 and ending June 30, 2020) or until a cumulative sum not to exceed eight hundred
thousand dollars ($800,000) has been received.
Section 3. The Board will appropriate or transfer from the General Fund Contingency the
required local match of grant #36237.25.12.2 (Airport Overlay and Apron Rehab) which will be
started in Fiscal Year 2011— 2012.
Section 4. The Board will appropriate or transfer an amount of no less than $26,667 each year
from other funds to this fund.
Section 5. This resolution shall become effective upon its adoption.
