RESOLUTION APPOINTING DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVE FOR PURPOSES OF
ADMINISTRATION OF THE HARNETT COUNTY CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, pursuant to North Carolina General Statute §110 -141, effective July 1, 2010, each child support
enforcement program being administered by the Department of Health and Human Services on behalf of counties
shall be administered, or the administration provided for, by the board of county commissioners of those counties;
and
WHEREAS, the child support enforcement program in Harnett County, North Carolina is currently administered
by the Department of Health and Human Services on behalf of Harnett County; and
WHEREAS, because the child support enforcement program in Harnett County, North Carolina is currently
administered by the Department of Health and Human Services on behalf of Harnett County, effective July 1,
2010, the County of Harnett is required to administer or provide for the administration of the Harnett County child
support enforcement program; and
WHEREAS, on December 7, 2009, the Harnett County Board of Commissioners adopted the Harnett County
Child Support Enforcement Transition Plan which selected the Harnett County Department of Social Services
operated organizational model for administration of the Harnett County child support enforcement program; and
WHEREAS, effective July 1, 2010, the Harnett County child support enforcement program will be administered
by the Harnett County Department of Social Services; and
WHEREAS, to effectuate an effective transition of the child support enforcement program it is necessary that the
Harnett County Board of Commissioners adopt a resolution appointing a designated representative, as that term is
defined in North Carolina General Statute §110 -129, to administer the program of child support enforcement in
Harnett County, North Carolina.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Harnett County Board of Commissioners that the Harnett
County Department of Social Services is hereby appointed the designated representative, as that term is defined in
North Carolina General Statute §110 -129, to administer the program of child support enforcement in Harnett
County, North Carolina.
