THAT, WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts is an organization which has long helped
shape the lives of young people across America; and
WHEREAS, this organization is dedicated to developing the future leaders of our
communities and our nation; and
WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts recognize their highest achievers by recognizing
them as an Eagle Scout; and
WHEREAS, this award is only presented to those individuals who demonstrate a
commitment to self - improvement as well as service to their community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Hamett County Board of
Commissioners does hereby recognize Seth Taylor Smith and congratulate him for
attaining Eagle Scout.

The Scouts, Leaders, and members of the Committee Boy Scout Troop 779
take great pleasure in announcing that:
Having completed the requirements for and having been examined
by an
Eagle Scout Board of Review
Seth Taylor. Smith
Was found worthy of the rank of Eagle Scout.
In honor of this achievement, we have scheduled an Eagle Court of Honor
for January 5`b, 2008 at Coats Baptist Church, Coats, NC, 27521. The
church is located on Hwy.# 55 between Angier and Erwin, NC, across
from Hardees. This town is approx. 25 miles SE of Raleigh, NC.
It will be a fabulous honor if you could personally and briefly attend this
celebration. There are many in this small rural community who support and
respect your leadership for our county. It will be a memorable highlight to
this special day, if your schedule will accommodate this invitation. Seth's
project was the creation and completion of an attractive cemented area
complete with stone benches in front of his high school, (Triton High
School, Erwin, NC).
Secondly, we would appreciate a letter or certificate acknowledging his
achievement. We will compile it with other acknowledgments and place in a
scrapbook commemorating this special occasion.
