The Harnett County Fire Marshal must provide a written variance to the fire hydrant  requirements for major subdivisions and the developer must provide a copy of said variance to Harnett County Department of Public Utilities to approve the propsed utility plans. The developer must follow the approved process for the approval of the proposed water main  that will serve this subdivision.
