Water
Public water is available for this development (via Harnett County)
Comments: The developer has installed six (6") inch and two (2") inch water lines in the right-of-way of
the streets to serve the residential lots of this subdivision. The developer must provide a cost statement
of the water system improvements, the P.E. Certification along with the revised As-Built Record
Drawings
(mylar, paper & digital copies) stamped by a P.E. that depict the pipe material, depth, locations and all
related appurtenances including the reducer fittings, valves, fire hydrants, tees and blow off assemblies.
The As-Built Record Drawings provided to date do not provide all the information required by HCDPU in
accordance with Harnett County standards. The preliminary plat indicates that Phase 5 is now being
divided into Phase 5 and Phase 6. The water lines installed in these phases were approved by HCDPU
and
NCDENR under plans labeled Phase 5 and changing names on the phases may delay approval by NCDENR
for the water lines along Pine Valley Lane and Rolling Stone Court. The PE must address the changes
from
the approved plans in the PE Certification letter to NCDENR to obtain final approval on the water lines
installed in this subdivision to date.
NOTE: HCDPU provides this information as a curteousy to the developer, registered land surveyor and
professional engineer for design purposes. However, HCDPU cannot be held liable for errors, mistakes,
ommissions, and inaccurate information provided through this preliminary approval process. It is
therefore recommended that the engineer or developer "field verify" the information provided by HCDPU
prior to purchasing, grading, excavating, clearing, or developing the subject property. HCDPU will not
make provisions to extend new water lines to new developments at the county's expense and HCDPU will
not provide assistance to upgrade, install or improve the new or existing water services in the proximity
of
this project unless the developer can provide HCDPU proper justification and demonstrate a benefit for
Harnett County.
Sewer
Public sewer is not available for this development (via Harnett County)
Comments: Septic Tanks must be properly sized and installed on each residential building lot to handle
the wastewater disposal as HCDPU does not have county sewer available within close proximity of this
development.
NOTE: The septic tanks for each residential lot must be approved by The Harnett County Environmental
Health Department.
