Harnett County has a 42” wastewater interceptor along the Neil’s Creek and Kenneth Branch, which is in this vicinity. The wastewater interceptor will be placed into service within the next few months and if the project is within 1,000 linear feet of the existing wastewater interceptor, then the developer must acquire the necessary easements to connect to the 42” line. This project would be required to connect using a gravity sewer system as the wastewater cannot be pumped into the concrete wastewater interceptor. Public Utilities: County sewer or septic tanks should be denoted on the preliminary site plan for this development. Public Utilities: The professional engineer (PE) should submit utility plans for the proposed water and sewer line extensions, an engineer’s report and project specifications to HCDPU for review and subsequent approval. Public Utilities: The professional engineer (PE) should include an additional fire hydrant on the proposed eight (8”) inch water line extension as the distance between the proposed fire hydrants is greater than NORTH HARNETT IND.
