RE: Update on Tonight
Don,
Good morning.
First, let me apologize for not getting back to you yesterday. I was sure I had sent a reply but I got to
thinking about it this morning and realized I didn’t!
Since Walnut Grove was approved, your next step will be to get all the infrastructure installed and get us a
final plat. Many of our developers/surveyors choose to wait to turn in the final plats until they have
completed all the necessary infrastructure so that it will pass inspection and the final can be approved. If
you want to (possibly) save some paper, you can email us a PDF of the final plat before you bring in the
mylars. We will review the PDF the same as we would if you brought in a physical copy but it will prevent
you from having to do reprints if there are corrections.
I don’t see any reason that clarifying the soils information on the final would be a problem. The more
information we have, the better!
I have sent a letter and copy of the preliminary signed by the planning board chair today so you should be
getting that in the next few days.
Let me know if you need anything else and have a great (rainy) day!
~Samantha
Thanks and have a great day!

Subject: Update on Tonight
I trust all is well in Harnett County and I am contacting you to determine if all is still well for tonight's Board
meeting on Walnut Grove Subdivision?
Once that is approved (being optimistic), what is the next step for the Preliminary Subdivision process?
Do the submitted documents become the record documents of this Prelim. Sub'n Permit or do we need to
submit Mylars or something like that which get them Stamped as approved before they are filed away?
Our boss was hoping to further elaborate (reword or re-clarify) the "Soils Survey/Determination Note" on
sheet L-2 of the Drawing set if possible, and that is why I am asking about the remaining procedures(s)

left for the Prelim. Subdivision process.
His desired rewording doesn't change anything shown on the plans, it just "More-Better" details who
determined the soils delineation shown on the Plans, and the intent is for our Office CYA/Liability
purposes.
Is a slight re-wording like we would like to occur, acceptable after tonight's Board Meeting, or does the
current wording have to remain as it currently exists?
Forgive me if this is making things difficult, but I am trying to follow-thru to determine what can or can not
be done in this matter.
I will look forward to your response. Have a great nite, and hope you don't have to stay too long at
tonight's Board Meeting.
