HARNETT COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS' EMERGENCY SESSION. JULY 6. 1990
I The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in emergency session on Friday,
July 6, 1990, in the County Office Building, Lillington, North Carolina, with
the following members present: Rudy Collins, Mayo Smith, Mack Reid Hudson,
and Vice Chairman Bill Shaw presiding. Chairman Lloyd G. stewart was absent.
Others present were Dallas H. Pope, County Manager; Vanessa W. Young, Clerk to
the Board; and Shirley C. Wicker, Recording Secretary.
Vice Chairman Shaw called the meeting to order at 10:15 a.m.
AGREEMENT WITH Dallas H. Pope, County Manager, stated that the purpose of the meeting was to
TOWN OF ANG IER consider a change in the Agreement with the Town of Angier involving the Cape
Fear Regional Wastewater System which was approved by the Board of
Commissioners at their regular meeting on July 2, 1990.
Commissioner Collins moved that the following revised section of the above
referenced Agreement be approved.
Section XIII - b18t1ng ~tment Fac1llties of 'lawn
C. !'raD8fer . It is agreed that the Town and the County shall make
provision for the said existing treatment facilities to be used as part of the
Regional System and that the same shall be accomplished pursuant to and in
accordance with the requirements and directives of the United States of
America acting through the Environmental Protection Agency, such that the EPA
will not require repayment of Grant No. C-370-692-01 previously made to the
Town.
Commissioner Hudson seconded the motion and it passed with a unanimous vote.
I ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, the Harnett County Board of Commissioners
emergency meeting of July 6, 1990, duly adjourned at 10:16 a.m.
