HARNETT COUNTY BOARD OF CO~1MISSIONERS SPECIAL MEETING, FEBRUARY 13, 1992
The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on
Thursday, February 13, 1992, in the Library Conference Room, Harnett
County Library, Lil1ington, North Carolina, with the following members
present: Bill Shaw, Walt Titchener, Beatrice Bailey Hill, and
Chairma~ Lloyd G. Stewart, presiding. Commissioner Mack Reid Hudson
was absent. Ot~ers present were Dallas H. Pope, County Manager; Tony
Wilder, Assistant County Manager; John M. Phelps, Public Utilities
Attorney; Vanessa W. Young, Finance Officer and Clerk to the Board;
and Kay S. Blanchard, Recording Secretary.
Chairman Stewart, called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
JOINT MEETING WITH Chairman Stewart then aqvised the Board that the special board meeting
TOWN OF ANGIER was called based on a request from the Town of Angier Board of
BOARD OF COMMIS- Commissioners to meet in joint session to consider a contractual
S IONERS RE: agreemen: between the Town of Angier and the County of Harnett. After
CAPE FEAR REGIONAL both Boa~ds called the meeting to order, Angier commissioner, Bob
WW SYSTEM PROJ. stivendet, recommended that the Boards go into executive session to
discuss atters that might involve potential litigation concerning a
contract/between Harnett County and the Town of Angier.
Commissioner Shaw moved that the Board go into executive session.
Commissioner Hill seconded the motion and it passed with a unanimous
vote.
Commissioner Titchener moved that the Board come out of executive
session. Commissioner Hill seconded the motion and it passed with a
unanimous vc~e.
The two ~oards had a general discussion on the Cape Fear Regional
Wastewater Project.
ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, the Harnett County Board of
Commissioners special meeting, February 13, 1992, duly adjourned at
10:10 p.m.
