HomeMy WebLinkAbout11281989 (2) 9 HARNETT COUNTY BOARD OF CO~,~ISSIONERS SPECIAL MEETING, NOVEHBER 28, 1989 The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Tuesday, November 28, 1989, in the County Office Building, Lillington, North Carolina, with the following members present: Rudy Collins, Bill Shaw, Mayo Smith, and Chairman Lloyd G. Stewart presiding. Commissioner Mack Reid Hudson was absent. Others present were Dallas H. Pope, County Manager; W. Glenn Johnson, I County Attorney; Vanessa W. Young, Clerk to the Board; and Kay S. Blanchard, Recording Secretary. Chairman stewart called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. Commissioner Shaw offered the invocation. BUDGET AMENDMENT Henry Thompson, Health Department Director, requested a budget amendment for FOR HEALTH DEPT. the Health Department concerning the Adolescent Pregnancy Program. The budget CONS IDERED amendment included a $20,000 revenue allocation from the state for use in the Harnett County Adolescent Pregnancy Program. The Board received inputs concerning this matter from Health Department personnel and citizens attending meeting. Commissioner Smith moved for the approval of the budget amendment. The motion received no second. BUDGET AMENDMENT Dallas H. Pope, County Manager, requested the following budget for Public PUBLIC ASSISTANCE Assistance: Code 10-7710-155 Donations for Needy $100. Increase Revenue: 10-3350-003 Donations-Social Services Increase Commissioner Smith moved for the approval of the budget amendment. Commissioner Shaw seconded the motion and it passed with a unanimous vote. BRIEFING ON REVISED Carla Stephens, Planning Director, briefed the Board on Revised Manufactured MANUF. HOME PARK ORD. Home Park Ordinance. EXE. SESSION Commissioner Shaw made a motion to go into executive session. Commissioner Collins seconded the motion and it passed with a unanimous vote. Commissioner Smith made a motion to come out of executive session. I Commissioner Collins seconded the motion and it passed with a unanimous vote.
