CANVASS MEETING MINUTES
March 13,2026
ll:00 A.M.
Present: Board Chairman Danny Moody, Secretary Rickie Day Members: Allison Fenderson, Betsy
McCormick and Russ Ugone
Staff: Director Claire Jones and Assistant Director Sarah Rathke
Call to Order
Mr. Moody called the meeting to order at I l:00 A.M
Canvass the March 3,2026 Primary Election
Mrs. Jones provided the following comments:
o Voter history and the election results match
o March 5,2026 Hand Eye count results matched the tabulation results
o There are no pending contests of election
o The office did not receive any voter complaints
Following brief discussion, Mrs. McCormick made a motion to approve the election results.
Whereupon, Mr. Ugone seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. Mrs. Jones instructed
the members to sign relevant paperwork and election results.
Mr. Day inquired about the status of reconfiguring the Board of Elections work space. In
response, Mrs. Jones indicated that she has reached out to the Harnett County Manager, Brent
Trout, and is awaiting a response, whereupon, brief discussion ensued.
Adjournment
With there being no further business, Ms. Fenderson made a motion to adjoum the meeting. Mr
Day seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at I l:07 A.M.
