ABSENTEE MEETING
JANUARY 27,2026
6:30 P.lvl.
Present: Board Chairman Danny Moody, Secretary Rickie Day, Members: Allison Fenderson,
Betsy McCormick, and Russ Ugone
Staff: Director Claire Jones, Assistant Director Sarah Rathke and Election Technician Kelly
Castleberry
Mr. Moody called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. with the Pledge ofAllegiance.
Approval of Minutes:
The Board reviewed the minutes fiom the January 6,2026, regular meeting.
Mrs. McCormick moved to approve the minutes, and Mr. Day seconded the motion.
The motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Day made a motion to accept all absentee ballots presented to the Board, whereupon Allison
Fenderson seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
The Board verified the DS200 zero tape and completed all required accompanying paperwork to
verifu the ballot count.
Director Updates
Mrs. Jones discussed:
. Upcoming Absentee and Regular Board meetings
. Poll Worker training
. The Logic and Accuracy test scheduled for January 28, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
Adjournment:
Ms. Fenderson made a motion to adjoum the meeting, which was seconded by Mr. Day. The
motion carried unanimously.
The meeting was adjoumed at 6:40 pM.
New Business:
The Board reviewed the eligibility ofnumerous absentee ballots.
