ABSENTEE MEETING
SEPTEMBER 30, 2025
6:30 P.M.
Present: Board Chairman Dan Moody, Secretary Rickie Day, Members: Allison l�enderson,
Dew-ayne Lee, Betsy McCormick, Director Claire Jones, Assistant Director Shannon Cole and
Harnett County, Staff Attorney Thomas Royer
Mr. Moody called the meeting to order at 6:35 pm
New Business:
There were no absentees to approve.
Mr. Day moved to go into closed session per GS 143-318.11 (A) to discuss personnel. Mr. Lee
seconded,, Approved without dissent. The Board wentl"nto closed session at 6:36 pm.

Mr Day moved to dismiss Shannon Cole from her position with the Harnett Count
Elections. Mr. Lee seconded. Approved 4-1 with Ms. Fenderson dissenting.

Mr. Lee moved to allow Mrs. Jones to post and fill the Assistant Elections Director's position.
Mr. Day seconded. Approved without dissent.
With no further business to discuss, Mr. Lee moved to adjourn. Mr. Day seconded. Approved
without dissent. The meeting adjourned at 7:57 pm.
The next meeting of the Board will be a Pre-Electi'on absentee meeting October ()a)
pm and/or an Election Day absentee/regular meeting October 7, 2025 at 6:30 pm.
