HomeMy WebLinkAbout07291991 349 HARNETT COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS SPECIAL MEETING, JULY 29, 1991 The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Monday, July 29, 1991, in the County Office Building, Lillington, North Carolina with the following members present: Mack Reid Hudson, Bill Shaw, Walt Titchener, Beatrice Bailey Hill, and Chairman Lloyd G. Stewart presiding. Others present were Dallas H. Pope, County Manager; W. Glenn Johnson, County Attorney; Vanessa W. Young, Finance Officer and Clerk to the Board; and Kay S. Blanchard, Recording Secretary. Chairman Stewart called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. and Commissioner Hill gave the invocation. CONTRACT FOR AGING Dallas H. Pope, County Manager, presented for the Board's SERVICES - HARNETT consideration a contract for aging services between County of Harnett COUNTY COUNCIL FOR and Mid-Carolina Council of Governments Area Agency on Aging for SENIOR CITIZENS Harnett County Council for Senior Citizens. Commissioner Shaw moved for approval of the contract for the following scope of services and funding: Number Number of of AAA Total Service Clients Units Unit Rate Grant Funds In Home Aide - Home Management Level II 60 7,412 6.7495 $50,027 Home Improvement & Repairs 100 1,896 7.8871 14,954 Transportation-Nutrition 50 9,521 .9500 9,045 GRAND TOTAL $74,026 Commissioner Hudson seconded the motion and it passed with a unanimous vote. CONTRACT FOR AGING Dallas H. Pope, County Manager, presented for the Board's SERVICES - ANDERSON CREEK SENIOR CENTER consideration a contract for aging services between County of Harnett and and Mid-Carolina Council of Governments Area Agency on Aging for Anderson Creek Senior Center operation. Commissioner Shaw moved for approval of the contract for the following scope of services and funding: Total Service Grant Funds Anderson Creek - Senior Center Operation $5,000 Senior Center Outreach 5,480 GRAND TOTAL $10,480 Commissioner Hudson seconded the motion and it passed with a unanimous vote. CONTRACT AGREEMENT W. Glenn Johnson, County Attorney, presented for the Board's McCLEES CONSULTING consideration a contract agreement between Harnett County and Joseph USED TIRE RECYCLING Daniels McC~ees d.b.a. McClees Consulting, for administrative services PROJECT concerning a proposed used tire recycling project. The term of the contract shall begin on the date of the acceptance by Harnett County of funds from the Solid Waste Trust Fund of the Solid Waste Reduction Program of the North Carolina Office of Waste Reduction. Mr. Joseph McClees provided comments concerning the proposed contract agreement. Commissioner Shaw moved for approval of the contract agreement. Commis5ioner Hill seconded the motion and it passed with a unanimous vote.
