Sections: 2.0 Current Text: SECTION 2.0 ZONING MAP The map herein referred to, which is identified by the title, Official Zoning Map of Harnett County, North Carolina, shall be known as the zoning map. The map shall bear the adoption date of this Ordinance and the date of any subsequent map amendments. It shall be kept filed at the County Department of GIS & Land Records and shall bear the adoption date of this Ordinance and the date of any subsequent map amendments. Proposed Text: SECTION 2.0 ZONING MAP The map herein referred to, which is identified by the title, Official Zoning Map of Harnett County, North Carolina, shall be known as the zoning map and may only be amended in accordance with the provisions of this UDO. The map shall bear the adoption date of this Ordinance and the date of any subsequent map amendments. It A current version of the zoning map shall be maintained in a digital format kept filed at by the County Department of GIS and made publicly available on the GIS Department website. & Land Records and shall bear the adoption date of this Ordinance and the date of any subsequent map amendments. The County Clerk may, upon validation by the Planning Director, or designee, certify a paper copy of the Official Zoning Map, or portions of the map, as a true and accurate copy of the Official Zoning Map, or a portion thereof, under the authority of GS § 153A-50. Reason for Requested Change: To amend Harnett County’s U.D.O. Article IV. Zoning & Overlay Districts, Section 2.0, to meet the requirements of GS § 153A-50. Page 2 of 2 Suggested Statement-of-Consistency: (Staff concludes that…) The requested Text Amendment is compatible with Harnett County regulatory documents and GS § 153A-50, and the benefits outweigh any potential inconvenience or harm to the community. Therefore, it is recommended that this Text Amendment request be APPROVED.
