Present were; Board Chairwoman Allison Fenderson, Secretary Jim Currin, Members: Betsy McCormick, Lewis Bell, Bill McNutt, Director Claire Jones and Assistant Director Shannon Cole Also present: See sign in sheet Ms. Fenderson called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm with a moment of silence and Pledge of Allegiance. Public Comment: Rebekah Brock Greg Steiner Tanya White -Anderson Danna Vazquez Richard Chapman Teresa Lacy Tony Spears Minutes: The Board reviewed the minutes from April 30, 2024. Mr. Currin moved to approve the minutes. Mr. Bell seconded. Approved without dissent. Business: The Board discussed the early voting plan for the November 5, 2024 General Election. Mr. McNutt moved to approve the plan listed below. Mr. Bell seconded. Approved without dissent. One -Stop Early Voting Locations Harnett County Commons Area, 309 W. Cornelius Harnett Blvd., Lillington (in lieu of the Board of Elections Office) Western Harnett High School Gym, 10637 NC 27 W., Lillington Erwin Parks and Recreation Gym, 810 S. 16th St., Erwin Angier Elementary School, 130 E. McIver St., Angier Hours for all One -Stop Voting Locations Weekdays, October 17 — November 1, 8:00 am - 7:30 pm Saturdays, October 19 and 26, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Sundays, October 20 and 27, 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm Last Saturday, November 2, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm Mrs. Jones updated the Board on the following items: • Early Voting numbers as of 4:00pm- 374 • Voting for "I Voted" sticker competition is open • Accepting applications for the Election Technician and Election Specialist positons • MOU approved by County Commissioners at their May 6 meeting • Jetport ribbon cutting May 18 • Lillington Election Day site has damaged awing in front, can still use facility from back entrance • Electioneers will have access to bathrooms at election sites The Board reviewed the absentee list: 11 civilian ballots. Mr. Bell moved to approve the list. Mrs. McCormick seconded. Approved without dissent. The Board opened the Absentee DS200 and verified the total was 55. Ms. Fenderson ran the 11 approved absentee by mail ballots through the DS200. The Board verified the final number was 66 and turned the DS200 off. With no further business to discuss, Mr. Currin moved to adjourn. Mr. Bell seconded. Approved without dissent. The meeting adjourned at 5:40 pm.
