CANVASS MEETING
MARCH 15, 2024
11:00 A.M.
Present were; Board Chairwoman Allison Fenderson, Secretary Jim Currin, Members: Betsy
McCormick, Bill McNutt, Lewis Bell, and Director Claire Jones
Also present: See sign in sheet
Ms. Fenderson called the meeting to order at 11:03 am with a moment of silence and Pledge of
Allegiance.
Business:
Mrs. Jones informed the Board that the precinct audits were complete and no issue affected any
results from any precinct. Voter history is off by one vote due to a curbside voting leaving the
Boone Trail site with their ballot.
The mandatory random hand -eye count was performed on Thursday, March 7, by two bi-partisan
teams. The precincts chosen were Election Day Barbecue and Election Day Coats/Grove. The
hand count matched the DS200 machine count exactly.
Mrs. Jones informed the Board that there are no pending protests that would delay Canvass.
The Board reviewed the Canvass reports. Mrs. McCormick moved to approve Canvass. Mr.
McNutt seconded. Approved without dissent.
Mrs. Fenderson noted that she wants to send out a thank you to all election workers via Billboard
and/or newsletter.
With no further business to discuss, Mr. Currin moved to adjourn. Mrs. McCormick seconded.
The meeting adjourned at 11:14 am.
The next meeting of the Board will be a Regular meeting on April 2, 2023 at 5:00 pm.
