Also present were Deputy Director, Claudette Williams, Harnett County IT, Walt Temple, Carolyn Elmore Brewington, Daniel Brewington and Don Ferrara. Mr. Currin called the meeting to order at 11:17 am. Business: The Board reviewed the list of provisional voters, there was a total of 351. Mrs. Jones stated that 122 were valid provisional ballots that were either unreported moves or the poll workers could not find them, 1 of which was a valid voter that received the wrong ballot style and would need to be hand counted. 229 had either no record of registration or voted out of precinct. Mr. Powell moved to approve the 122 valid provisional ballots. Mr. Spears seconded. Approved without dissent. The Board opened the Provisional M 100 machine and ran the ballots. The Board closed the machine and printed the results tape. Mr. Temple got the tapes to prepare the Canvass reports. While the Board waited, Mrs. Jones stated that the mandatory random hand -eye count of One - Stop Erwin and Election Day Lillington precinct was performed and the count matched the Election Day tapes exactly. Voter history was also complete and all audits of the precincts were performed. Two precincts had a provisional go into the machine. Mrs. Jones stated that she will emphasize on this issue at the next poll worker training. In one precinct the chief judge inserted a blank ballot into the machine because she thought a voter left it behind and in another a son, who was previously removed, voted on his father's record. The Board opened the floor to the public. Mr. Temple returned with the Canvass reports. The Board reviewed the Canvass results. Mr. Powell moved to approve the Canvass. Mr. Spears seconded.
