Mr. Massey stated that there was ample parking, but that the Board must let the facility know ahead of time when there is an election. He called it a "welcome change." In response to the question of opening 3 polling places for Lillington municipal elections, Mr. Massey reported that the Johnston County BOE had asked the SBOE to hold municipal elections at one polling place to save money. He suggested that Campbell students might be recruited as poll workers. Public comments: Mr. Quakenbush stated he did not think there would be a problem with parking since in addition to the large parking lot for the Center there is also a parking lot at a church next door. Mr. Quakenbush (who works the Central Harnett Precinct) said he felt the Campbell facility was much better than the commons. Because there is more room outside, voters will not be corralled down a narrow walk past electioneering on Election Day.
