After discussion with Planning and HRW, this requirement has been redirected; a bond will be posted for incomplete work prior to recordation of the plat. • The final plat and the As-Built Record Drawings location of utilities should coincide. The maximum distance between hydrants, measured along street centerlines, shall be 500 feet. When residential intersections are less than 700 feet apart, a hydrant is not required between the intersections. The minimum acceptable flow for hydrants serving residential subdivisions is 500 gpm at 20 psi residual pressure. 2. Fire hydrants should be located on the right side of the incoming fire apparatus and should not be located at the end of a cul-de-sac. 3. Ensure dead-end street stubs do not exceed 150’ without an approved turn-around. If the street stub will be temporary, a 70’ diameter temporary cul-de-sac is allowed. (Notes 1-3 added to plat). Please be aware that review will not be done while you wait, as all DRB members will have to review the plat/plan for compliance. If HELD, you must submit 5 copies of the plat/plan showing that all items listed under Short Term Conditions have been rectified. To attend the next DRB meeting, revised plat/plans must be submitted by noon on Wednesday following the meeting the application was put on hold. If DENIED, you may appeal the Board’s Decision to the Harnett County Planning Board within 30 days or meet with Planning Staff to discuss other potential options.
