HomeMy WebLinkAbout033106s (2)The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Friday, March 31, 2006, in the conference room, Human Resources Department, County Administration Building, 102 East Front Street, Lillington, North Carolina. Members present: Teddy J. Byrd, Chairman Beatrice B. Hill, Vice Chairman\ Walt Titchener Tim McNeill Commissioner Dan B. Andrews was absent. Staff: HARNETT COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Chairman Byrd called the meeting to order at 11:30 a.m. and called on Mr. Emory. Mr. Emory and Ms. Slusser reviewed current laws regarding preservation of paper and electronic documents, including email and voice mail of elected officials. Mr. Emory noted that the mayor of Lillington has asked if the County's offer to donate land at the Governmental Complex to Lillington on which to locate a new fire substation still stands. It was the consensus of the Board that the offer is no longer on the table. Other items discussed were: - Medicaid - Law enforcement service at Campbell University - Budget - Ribbon cutting for new Agricultural Building is scheduled for Thursday, May 25 There being no further business, the March 31, 2006, special meeting adjourned at 12:30 p.m. Teddy J.
