·FLOW INFORMATION WAS OBTAINED FROM A SIMULTANEOUS FLOW TEST
PERFORMED BY TIMMONS GROUP ON 7/01/2020. FLOW TEST NODE #1 IS
THE EXISTING HYDRANT LOCATED ON THE EXISTING 12 INCH WATERLINE
APPROXIMATELY 1,300 FT NORTH OF THE INTERSECTION OF U.S. 401 N.
AND BROWN ST. FLOW TEST NODE #2 IS THE EXISTING HYDRANT
LOCATED ON THE EXISTING 6 INCH WATERLINE AT THE INTERSECTION OF
HILLARD ROAD AND JARED DRIVE. THE AVAILABLE FLOW CURVES ARE
SHOWN ON THIS SHEET.
·SYSTEM FLOW FOR IS REPRESENTED AT H-1 (FLOW TEST NODE #1) AND
H-3 (FLOW TEST NODE #2) IN THE INCLUDED WATER MODEL LAYOUT.
·THIS WATER MODEL HAS BEEN PERFORMED TO EVALUATE AVAILABLE
PRESSURE AND FLOW BASED ON THE INCLUDED WATER MODEL LAYOUT
AND FLOW DEMAND CRITERIA. ALL WATERLINES WERE MODELED WITH A
HAZEN-WILLIAMS ROUGHNESS COEFFICIENT OF 120.
·THE WATER MODEL LAYOUT IS BASED ON INFORMATION (SITE LAYOUT)
PROVIDED BY TIMMONS GROUP. THE ELEVATION DATA WAS PROVIDED
BY NC ONEMAP LIDAR CONTOURS.
·THE PROPOSED SYSTEM MUST MAINTAIN A MINIMUM RESIDUAL
PRESSURE OF 30 PSI FOR ALL DOMESTIC SCENARIOS AND A MINIMUM
RESIDUAL PRESSURE OF 20 PSI FOR ALL FIRE SCENARIOS.
·BASED ON THE INFORMATION PROVIDED, THE PROPOSED
SYSTEM IS ADEQUATE TO MEET THE MINIMUM RESIDUAL
PRESSURE REQUIREMENTS WHILE PROVIDING THE REQUIRED
FLOW FOR DOMESTIC AND FIRE SCENARIOS.
·DUE TO THE HIGH HEAD CONDITIONS ONSITE PRESSURE
REDUCING VALVES ARE RECOMMENDED ON THE DOMESTIC
CONNECTIONS AS NEEDED.
·THE PROPOSED SYSTEM MEETS BOTH HARNETT COUNTY AND
