Suggested Statement-of-Consistency (Staff concludes that…)
As stated in the evaluation, the requested rezoning to Commercial would not have an unreasonable impact on the surrounding community based on the nonresidential growth patterns of this
area as well as compliance with the County’s Land Use Plan. Therefore, it is recommended that this rezoning request be APPROVED.
Additional Information
On November 4th, the Harnett County Planning Board voted unanimously (5-0) to recommend approval of application based on compatibility with the Land Use Plan and the growing nature of
this area.
Several citizens attended the meeting but no one spoke in opposition.
