My quick observation is that this 20+ acres adjoins the existing
Champion Homes manufacturing facility and is surrounded by very large
industrial tracts served with rail. This corridor was identified for
potential industrial growth at some point. The large Mastin-Baker site
is nearby as well.
I would say given the county’s priority of preserving sites for future
industrial development that we would not want to allow R-20 or any
residential here.
