HomeMy WebLinkAboutFM comments_ Cross Link subdivision & street lengthJay,
Thanks for considering our input on this variance. Our office strongly
opposes the additional 2500’ of street without additional road access.
We share the same traffic concerns you have previously expressed. There
is potential for these residents to become trapped or isolated from
emergency services in the event of trees and power lines down across the
roadway, gas leaks or natural disasters. In addition, emergency response
is much slower inside these densely populated subdivisions. If we allow
variances such as this, the increased response times could impact
insurance ratings. If I can be of any further assistance please do not
hesitate to contact me.

He guys! I hope things are slowing down a bit for y’all.
I just wanted to send this info to y’all as an FYI or to see if you
guys had any comments or thoughts about the request. This street length
variance request is going before the Planning Board on Monday night.
There I’ll just talk about the basics but can add anything that the Fire
Marshall’s office may deem appropriate. We’ve had several area
residents call with concerns about traffic & as well as EMS access if a
tree falls over the road, etc.
Thanks for your help,
Jay Sikes
