HomeMy WebLinkAbout101504w HARNETT COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Special Meeting (work session) October 15, 2004 The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Friday, October 15, 2004, in the Human Resources Conference Room, County Administration Building, 102 East Front Street, Lillington, North Carolina. Members present: Teddy J. Byrd, Chairman Beatrice B. Hill, Vice Chairman Dan B. Andrews Tim McNeill Commissioner Walt Titchener was absent. Staff present: Neil Emory, County Manager Wm. A. (Tony) Wilder, Assistant County Manager Kay S. Blanchard, Clerk to the Board Chairman Byrd called the meeting to order at 11:30 a.m. Mr. Emory led a discussion on the following items: 1. Proposed zoning change for old Northwest Fire Department property 2. Proposed Good Hope Hospital building project 3. One-Stop voting 4. Flu shot shortage 5. Mobile home disposal – Planning is developing a schedule and will start in Barbecue Township. 6. New junkyard draft ordinance 7. Future sewer project(s) in northern part of the county 8. Transfer of Black River Rescue vehicles to the county 9. Request from fire and rescue employees for county to consider allowing them to be county employees so they can receive benefits. 10. County received only two bids for Agricultural Center building project and will re-advertise. 11. Draft report from jail study.
