Longevity Pay All County employees hired on or after July 151, 2015, or those employees who leave the employment of the County and return to work with the County on or after July 151, 2015, shall not be eligible to receive longevity pay. Full-time County employees of record as of June 30th, 2015 shall continue to be eligible to receive longevity pay as defined below until such time as their employment with the County is terminated. Time of Service: Employees with five (5) years of consecutive Harnett County Service by November 30th 15 of each calendar year are eligible for longevity pay. Payment of Longevity: The amount of longevity an employee receives shall be based on the employee's salary as of November 30th 15 of each calendar year and paid annually in a lump sum the first week in December of the same year. This amount shall increase depending on the employee's years of services as outlined in the chart below. A longevity payment, however, shall not be made part of the employee's base salary. Pay Plan Article III, section 12 B All overtime hours or accrued compensatory time in excess of forty (40) hours as of December 3161 June 15 of each year shall be converted to annual leave. Each two-hour period of compensatory time, or fraction thereof, shall be converted into one-quarter (1/4) day of annual leave.
