HomeMy WebLinkAboutDrakes Landing-Schramm AHarnett County, North Carolina Board Of Adjustments; I hadn't heard of Agritourism or the tax exemption regarding it before so I Goggled it and found out what it was about then went to your County site and saw that Harnett , like many counties in the country, support and benefit from it. I also learned that it included the recreational aspect of fee fishing, hunting and skeet shooting. You are to be commended for that! I travel from Winston-Salem frequently with my sons and grand children to Drake Landing and enjoy an afternoon of fellowship and target shooting while spending money at the Landing and the surrounding amenities. Why in the world would you want to consider deleting these broad benefits, to me, a long distance customer to Drake Landing, your tourism interests, and your county tax base? Your counties interest in Agritourism allows me to enjoy Drake Landing and as a result hope you see a benefit to your county and the overall appreciation we sportsmen and women shooters have of your stated vision . Do not take away this valuable exemption to your county constituents which might influence the longevity of this type of Adritourism for you. Many of us depend on the vision of recreation and sports minded men and women who legislate. We are in your cheering section. Recently, four of us from my family attended a charitable benefit at Drake Landing involving a Sporting Clay event. That event brought multiple benefits to all involved including the charity and the county for making a place for something like that to take place. I would like to be at the hearing to show my support for maintaining this Agritourism benefit, but because of the hour and distance will not be able to attend. I hope this email will represent me, my family and our concerns. Arthur Schramm 3241 Blenheim Place Winston-Salem, NC 27106
