HomeMy WebLinkAboutDrakes Landing-RossMr. Byrd,
I am not totally aware of the challenges for the existence of Drake Landing's operations in the great rural setting of Harnett County, however I have been to this wonderful business
on 3 occasions - once with men from church and twice with my wife. My wife and I are not hunters, and neither most of those I go to church with, nevertheless my experiences there have
always been positive, and it appears that a reasonable amount of control is carried out by management there. These folks have taught me much about the safe handling and operation of
a shotgun, and the types of shotgun shells one may use out there limited, which is fine by me.
I would rather spend the money in Wake County where I live, but the availability, serenity, and professionalism offered at the Drake landing facility is a draw for me as well as my wife,
and I feel I can speak for the guys from our church in Raleigh. Whatever the challenges are, I hope that something can be provided where all sides can win. As for me, I would like to
continue going there for skeet shooting with my wife, as well as with some of my less athletic friends.......it's just a fun and unique activity that one does not get to enjoy every
day.
Here's hoping that creative minds will come up with win win solutions.
Regards,
R Ross
