I am writing this email to support Drake's Landing in getting its Conditional Use Permit. I have visited Drake's Landing on numerous occasions and would like to see that they continue
their use of some of their land for shooting sports. I have had friends join me at Drake's Landing from as far away as Charlotte and New Bern North Carolina on the same day. I am retired
from the US Army and have found that not only does Drake's Landing provide me a place to enjoy some shooting sports but I find that it has always been run in a safe and efficient manner.
If they are denied use for the shooting sports on their land, I truly feel that Harnett County will be loosing a business that is an attraction for your county. If you need more info
such as the number of times a year that me and my friends visit and the approximate amount of money we spend on each trip, we will be more than glad to submit to you.
Seeing that we live in an economy that is wavering back and forth, I would think Harnett County or any other county would love to see any business that draws in income from so called
tourist, make efforts to allow them to continue operations.
