Drake Landing
It is no way to relay what I feel in my heart. For me, Drake landing is a little bit of heaven on earth. Where can you go and enjoy in a few hours of woodland, streams, farm ponds, wildlife,
wildflowers, flora, open farmland, soybean fields, tobacco being harvest, log tobacco barns, farm equipment, dilapidated farm houses, and happy families, young boys and girl and adult men
and women of all ages? Unselfishly, this has been provided with hard work of generations of farm families before and continues now so visitors can use the resources to enjoy shooting
and hunting in a safe supervised setting. Our home is the closest next to our son's. No one enjoys working and entertaining in their yard more than I. On any Saturday, the busiest day
at Drake Landing if I'm home, i'm in my yard. Yes,there is some noise muffled by the woodlands with the sporting clay stations so spread out, the five stand and pistol range so nestled
in the woods you know it's in the distance just like the traffic on the road. I have encouraged our sons like the students I taught to follow their passion but in reality Passion has
follow our son as he has put in hard work and his God given gifts to enhance God's beautiful Creation. Yes, this has taken its toll but one day maybe not in our lifetime it will be
appreciated and respected by all and recognized as a well thought out plan for our community and Harnett County.
Sincerely
Joyce Andrews
The red cardinal that comes to my den window every morning is a disturbance and makes a big mess on the windowsill but I don't try to get rid of him. I clean up his mess and focus on
his beauty not his pecking.
