Whereas, the North Carolina Department of Transportation is currently preparing to
construct replacement bridges for bridge numbers 29 and 53 along this route; and

sites; and

impact of this project on local residents and businesses; and
Whereas, it our understanding that others have proposed alternative detours which would
place a significant burden on the community.
Now Therefore Be It Resolved that the Harnett County Board of Commissioners does
hereby express its support for the planned detours proposed by the North Carolina Department of
Transportation and does hereby request its implementation on behalf of the citizens and
businesses served by the Highway Corridor.
