HomeMy WebLinkAbout03011954304 MARCH 1st, 1954 The Board of County Commissioners met in regular session on Manday, March lst., 1954, with all members present.- Also present were the County Attorney -and the Clerk to Board. The report of Inez Harrington, Register of Deeds, was approved and ordered filed. -The report of Robert B. Morgan, Clerk of Superior Court, was approved and ordered filed. The report of D. P. Ray, Tax Collector, was approved and ordered filed -The report of L. B. McLean, Veteran Service filed. The reports of B. H. Sellars approved and ordered filed. Upon motion of Com. Lasater, seconded by °Com, Ingram, petition approximately 2 miles of street in vicinity of Jernigan's skating Dunn and Erwin was approved. (petition given to Mr. Jernigan for Officer, was approved and ordered and Roy Godwin, Rlectrical Inspectors=, wete to improve ring between presentation). Com.: Worth Lee Byrd moved, seconded by Cum, Mangum that County improve grounds around buildings, pour sidewalks, build retaining walls, plant shrubbery, paint outside trim of courthouse, putty windows, paint welfare building and do other work in'accord with recommendation of Finer Carolina committee`, - at total cost net to exceed 41829.00. Motion carried. 'Upon motion of Com. Lasater, seconded by-Com. Ingram, the was authorized to appoint a Juvenile Court Probation Officer the months of June, July, and August, 1954 -at a salary of, Motion carried.
