Present, Geo.E.Priee,T.A.Harrington and J.E.Elliott, Whereas,it appearing that Geo.E.Price,chairman,has signed a deed or lase the Raleigh '& Cape Fear Railway Company for a certain right of way and, a depot siAbJ and whereas ,it appears that said Railwayhas decided not to use said depot site as agreed upon by them and have located their depot in Lillington elcewhere,Dow therefore C.M.Muse is hereby authorized 'to confer with said Railway Company with referenceto the execution of a lease for right of way exclusive of depotseite and with reference t� cancellation of the lease ordered signed by said chairman. Ordered that the clerk be authorized to notify .LD.Matthews fhrmer Treasurer,to make settlement on or before the first monda,,in Ju1y1906,of all moneys due.by -him tolthe County,or show causewhy the Board should nottake immediate action foroollection of said funds due by him as such teasurer. On all subjects of taxation on which a tax is levid for the State under Schedule B & C of the revenue act now in force,a tax equal to that levid by the State be and the same is hereby levid for the County undereach section except under such sections of said act as provide that no such tax shall be levid for the County.The clerk is hereby ordered to furnish Sheriff with Copy of this order. In public School districts Nos. where a local tax has been voted,a special tax,for Schools, of ninety cents on each poll and thirty cents on each One hundred dollars worth of taxable property within said district. °llu. Ordered that order for a special school tax election in District # 1 for whites in Lillington township,granted by Chm. of the board, be approved. Petition signed by Archie Johnson,J.H.Atkine,A.A.Bethea and others,asking for the establish ment of a public road from near A.A.Bethea'O to Lillington,over the lands of J.AJohnson J.H.Atkins H.T.Spears &others, was granted add said road ordered laid out,and that H.T.S pearsshow the jury where to establish the road across his land. Petition signed by R.T.Spence,McL.Bradley and others,asking for the discontinuance of public road from the mouthof the lane at W.R.Johnsons to L.F.Arnolds tobaco barn said petion was granted and said road ordered discontinued. Ordered that D.H.Collins,be appointed Constable of Upper Little River Township to fill the unexpired term of D.A.Collins, caused by his resignation. d.R.Brown,D.S. filed his report on the laying out of a public road fret J.R.Brown's to a point near R.T.Johnsons, same was accepted,and said road accepted as a public road.
