J.H.Williams,Treas.Presen_ted his monthly report same was ordered filed. J.B.Lanier Shff. presented his monthly report same was ordered filed. A.M.Long having been appointed Constable of Neills Creek Township for a term ending December 1st 1906. Tendered his official Bond in the sum of ?1500. with G.H.Long and L.D.Matthews,as sureties same was unanimously accepted and ordered in record of official Bonds. J.F.Arnold, having been appointed Constable of Buckhorn Township for a term ending December lst.1908 tendered his official bond in the sum of d°500. with W.F.Hockaday and P.L.Baucom as sureties,same war unanimously accepted and ordered recorded in record of official Bonds. wir Ordered that J.B.Lanier have fence put up around the garden belonging to the Cottage on Court -House Square. A Ordered that the Sheriff list for taxation in the name of Williams Bros. 166 acres "Coffield peice on Neills Oreek"in Hectors Creek Township valued at 0744. for the years 1905and 1906. And that he collect single tax on same,same not having been listed. Ordered that 0.Y eArtan be authorized to have Murchison Bridge on U.L.R. repaired. Ordered that a call meeting of the Board of Commissioners as a finance Committee is made for May l5th,to sttle with Sheriff for 1906;and to take up matters regarding the Bond issue in July. Ordered that the P.A.be instructed to purchase 14 chairs for court room price not to exceed 50. per doz. Upon filing petition as prescribed dy law for a special Shool tax election in Dist.No.5 for whites in Upper Little River Township,Known as Mt.Pisgah Dist.;it is ordered that an election be held in said. District,on June 5th,1907. under the laws regulating general elections in the State; at which shall be submitted to the Qualified voters of said district the question of "for special tax" &: "against special tax" It is further ordered that John McLeod,be and he is hereby appointed registrar for said election and he is hereby directed to make a new registration of the qualified voters residing within the boundaries of said district; and that M.J.McNeill and D.O.Harrington be and they are hereby appointed poll holders of said election.Notice of said election shall be posted at the Court -House door in Lillington and at three o. public places in said district. The clerk of this Board shall furnish the registrar and judges of election with a copy of this order. Upon filing a petition as prescribed by law,for a special School tax election in Dist. No 2 for whites in Averasboro.Township,it is ordered that an election be held in said district on June 5th,1907 under the laws regulating general election in the State;at which shall be submitted the question of "for special tax "& " against special tax" :It is further ordered that R.G.Ailen be and he is hereby appointed registrsr for said election and he is hereby directed to make a new registration of all the qualified voters residing within f"e boundaries of said district;and that J.Wash Hodges and ;.:.M.blonds be and they are hereby appointed poll holders of said election.Notice of said election shall be posted at the Court -House door in in Lillington and three public places in said District. The Road Commission of Averasboro Township filed a request asking the Board of Commission of Harnett County to levyya road ta.x,same was accepted and filed. Dr.J.W.Halford,Supt.Heaith presented his monthly report same was ordered filed. Ordered that T.G.Byrd be allowed to list 41 acres land,in Lillington Township for 13 1 b the years 1904 -1905 & 1906,valued at X11. Ordered that Jno.L.Ennis of Duke township be exempt from the payment of poll tax for the year 1907. Ordered that W.J.MODonaid be relieved 01.22 double tax in U.L.R.Ts. Ordered that Cape Fear Power Co. be relieved of ?'?.re Bauble tax in U.L.P. Ordered that 0.J.Spears Est.be relieved of X4.94 double tax in U.L.R. Ordered that Barney Bethea be relieved of 02.45 double tax in U.L.R. Ordered that Dr.J.A.Sexton be relieved of 010.25 double tax in Lillington. Ordered that A.N.Sexton be relieved of 111.43 double tax in U.L.R. Ordered that A.D.McLean be relieved of 011.16 double tax in Lillington. Ordered that Dr.J.A.Sexton,be relieved of y1ffl.57 double tax in Neills Creek. Ordered that A.N.Sexton be relieved of x',4.55 double tax in Neills Creek. Ordered that M.R.Morgan be allowed $34.50 for keeping County Home 1 month. Ordered that C.M.Muse be allowed $50. to be expended on building fence at County Home. Ordered that J.W.Gooch agt.be allowed $.27.75 for fire insurance on Co.Home. Ordered that H.C.Stewart be allowed ;25.75 for service ae clerk. Ordered that H.C.Stewart P.A. be allowed $25.50 for purchase as per bills rendered. Ordered that A.L.Shine,be allowed $6.22 for work xvhite washing halls of the Court - House. Ordered that H.G.Thomas be allowed $1.50 for work on pump. Ordered that J.A.Green & J.B.Lanier Committee be allowed$35. for work on road from Steel Bridge to river Hill. Ordered that A.H.Hughes be allowed t4. for burial of Guston Hughes pauper. Crdered that. J.B.Lanier be allowed 20.40 for service jailor. Ordered that State of N.C. be allowed $3.50 for certifying list of Magistrates to C.S.C. Ordered that Jno.Grady col. be allowed $5. for waiting on small-pox patient.
