Harrington ,J.A.Smith,D.P.FcDonald and W.H.Turlington, After canceling. orders turned . in by the Treasurer, the Board adjourned sinedie, New Board of Commissioners nlet,after being duly inducted into office by taking and subscrib- ing to the oaths of office before F.H.Taylor C.S.C.,organized by electing R.G.Taylor Chair- man of the Board. A.A.Waddell having been duly elected Constable of Lillington TDwnship,in the last genera) election presented his official Bond,in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars,with W.F.Hocktday and R.B.Crowder,as sureties,said Bond was accepted by the following vote,those voting for, Taylor ,Smith Harrington,LcDonald and Turlington,those against,none,said Waddell took and subscribed to the oaths of office,and was duly inducted in office. A.L.Wilson having been duly sleeted Constable of Upper Little River Township,tendered his official Bond in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars,with Chas.Ross as surety,said Bond was ac- cepted by the following vote, Taylor ,Smith,Harrington,McDonald and Turlington,those voting against,none,said Wilson took and subscribed to the oaths of office before F.H.Taylor C.S.C. and was duly inducted in office. A.M.Lona having. been duly elected Constable. of Neills Creek Township,tendered his Official Bond in the gum of Five Hundred Dollars,said Bond was accepted by the following vote,those voting for, Taylor, Smith,Harrington,McDonald and Turlington,those voting against,none,said Long took and subscribed to the oaths of office,before F.H.Taylor C.S.C. and was duly in- ducted in office. J.H.Williams Treasured,presented his annual report,same saw accepted and ordered recorded. Dr.J.W.Halford Supt.of health,presented hid monthly report same was accepted and ordered fined. frdered that J.C.Clifford be and he is hereby unanimously elected County Attorney for Harnett County for a term ofjth year,at a salary of One Hundred and Fifty Dollars,per year. Dr.J.H.Withers having been previously appointed Standard Keeper of Harnett_County,took and subscribed to the oaths of office,before R.G.Taylor Chm.and was duly inducted in office. Upon hearing petition signed by H.V.Moulton et.al.asking for the establishment of a public road,from H.Street in the Town of Duke to Godwins Bridge on Black River,over.the lands of Erwin Cotton Mills Co.,et.al.said petition was filed and ordered advertised according to law. On hearing petition signed by Sandy Adams et.al.aaking for the establishment of a public road from the old road to the. Stage road,over the lands of D.G.Adams et.al.said,petition was filed and ordered advertised according to law. Ordered that R.G.Taylor be and he is hereby elected to take the place of G.K.Grantham as Bridge.11lervisor for Aversboro and Duke Townshits . Upon resolution of.J.A.Smith it is ordered by the Board of County Commissioners of Harnett County requiring all public officers of Harnett County,to make a report to said Commissioners according to law every thirty days,at the meetings of said Board of each month,this 8th day of Dec.1908.It is further ordered that the Clerk of thid Board,fUrnish each of the County Officers a Copy of this Order. Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of Harnett County.will make applica- tion to the nest General Assembly for the passage of sn act authorizing the County of Harnett to issue Bonds for the erection of its bridges. Ordered that D.P.McDonald be instruct to purchase lumber for bridge approaches,also to look after getting••piling for approaches to the beat interest of the County.
