MONDAY NOVEMBER 1st 1909 County comissioners met present T.A. Harrington Chm protem J.A. Smith ,D.P. Mcdonald, W.H. Turlimgton, and G.F. Pope, being full board present. Report of Mr J.H. Williams Read and accepted and ordered filed and recorded. Mr Williams handed in the ton (10) last six per cent funding bonds of (0500.00) of 1907 issue and one coupon cancelled for each bond making in all (05300.00) . The regufltof the petitioners of Black river Township loading from Angier and by Sandy grove Church was granted and the Chm ordered that the Sheriff summons a Jury to lay it off and assess the damages if there be any and all expenses tg be paid by the petitioners. Upon petition df Citizens of Barbecue and Johnsville Towmships,aeking to be annexed to Stoch law dtataatat district upon which an election was ordered to be held on November 2 1909 it is how ordered by the board that the order of the board calling an election for November 2 be and tho same is hereby revoked; and it is further ordered that the two districts be consolidated and that an election be and the same is hereby called to be held on Tuesday December 14th 1909 at the residence of W.J. McDonald, upon the question of Stock law or no Stock law, as provided by law in the territory embraced by the following boundaries of the following two territoties to:wit_ DESCRIPTION: It is further ordered that a new registration of the voters of said territory be made. It is further ordered that W.J. MCdonald, be reapointed registrar for said election and that John Darref pch, and John McLeod be and theyare hereby reapointed judges for said election. Mr E.F. Young Attorney for A.F. Kline name before the board and gave notice that said A.E. Kline, forbids further payment by the board to the Carolina Engineering Company. for building Duke bridge until said Company has paid A.E. Kline his account against said Company,for labor and material furnis- hed upon said bridge, by said A.E.Kline as Subcontractor. Ordered that the entire Board be and they are constituted a committee to inspect Duke bridge when completed and tendered to the county. Or dered that the Following Releases be made J.C. Partin in Black river Township Payment of 03.31 and be charged to the school fund of BZSSEZSZ$625 Angier special and receive the be released of the district. Ordered that J.T. Johnson of Neills Creek Township be released of the payment of taxes on (4440.00) worth of land listed by W.R. Vann for the year 1909, the tax amounted to ($3.90) to be credited in propotion to the different funds. Ordered that B zxait.t E.D. Pate of Duke Township be releived of the payment of poll tax for disability and be placed on the roll of permanent releases. Smith and seconded by mr D.P. McDonald ,mr G.F. Pope was unanimously elected chairriar and proceeded at once to take uPom himself the duties of the chairman of the board. Ordered that D.P. McDonald as inspector and Supt of bridge construction have a guard rail placed. in the middle of the Duke bridge therby causeinr all passengers to keep to the right and avoid meeting on bridge. 0 On Motion of Mr J.A. Smith mr Cliffori the county attorney was instructed to em4lotr an engineer to inspect and receive the Duke bridge and also to notify all of the cominsionors when he was to receive it. The petition of mr William Patterson for an election for stock law in Upper Little River Township was continued until the next meeting oftpe board.
