ducted into office.
Ordered that the ferryman of duke ferry be allowed an inertia :e of 2.50 on salary for the months of October
and 7ovember.

tee to investigate and report.
The bond of J.B. Lanier 7horiff was presented as folows: for the collection of State taxes .:9000.00 and
for the collection of county taxes "'20,000.00 reach with the United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company
as surity each of these bonds were accepted by the board and ordered registered, those voting in the

/Ordered that the Carolina `Sngineer-ing Company `fie paid one thousand ;`-1000.00 dollars on account of extra
k worle on the Last pier of the Jake bridge, this order not to be delivered however until. D. =. :Joliet-laid has
yarspected the pier and pronounced .the sane complete as per contract.
It is further ordered that the proposition of the Carolina 'Enginoorin: Conpahy to allow its Ingineer
mr hanks to do the engineering work on the approaches to said bridge gratis in consideration of the pay-
ment of the one thousand dollars when said pier is completed be and the sane is hereby accepted.

ordered by the board to be filed in its proper place.
