HomeMy WebLinkAbout02011909SP g MONDAY FEBRUARY /1W-1909. Board of County Comisaioners met present ; R.G. Taylor, T.A. Harrington, W.H. Turlington, J.A. Smith, D.P. McDonald, 3,H. Williams treasurer presented his Monthly report the same was accepted and ordered filed. Dr J.H. Halford Supt. of Health presented his monthly report, same was accepted and ordered filed. J.H. Williams Treasurer presented his Official Bond in the sum of (320.000), in the American Bonding Company of Baltimore I1?.D.As surity, said bond was accepted by the following vote these voting for,Taylor, Smith, McDonald, Turlington, Harrington, those voting against none, The following orders was turned in by the Treasurer and cancelled, County Funds, 43487.28 Daurers orders 4467.95, Lillimgtom road orders t60.20, Buckhorn etc fence orders 332.00, U.L.R. and Barbecue fence orders $5.00, Bridge orders $508.71, Jury tickets, $445.30, On motion of the Chairman, Yr Smith and 1.`r No Donald, was appointed a comittee to meet Yr Respass on Thursday February 4th and take charge of the tools purchased by the County in building the bridge. The same comittee was appointed by the board to select. an Engineer in the place of Mr Respase. Yr Jery Respass Bridge Engineer having tendered his resignation to take n effect Thursday February 4th 1909, it was ordered by the board that said resignation be accepted. Resolved by the Board of- Comisaioners of Harnett County,that for the purpose of paying the first in- stallments due or to become duethe Carolina Engineering Company, upon its contract for erecting bridge across the Cape Fear River , the Cha$$.F�inmape p4apiifr oo ;a 4ec � � are hereby authorized and directed to executeand deliver to saidCompany„the note or notes or sai Onty coveringsaid initial installment said notes to be payable not later than three months after date and bearing interest at six per cent. from date and said Chairman and Clerk are further authorized to set forth in said note or notes for the purpose of securing the same, that said note or notes are given as part of the contract price agreed upon for erecting of said bridges and that the title to the bridges shall remain in said com- pany until the full contract price for the erection of said bridges shall be paid in full subject to the provisions of said contract, Ordeed that the following releases be made on the Buckhorn etc Special fence tax J.S. Washburn ($1.24.), R.E. Mashburn (.5n), cents. A.C.W. Carterflack river (32.00), Ordered that B.F. Langdon and on be released of 132.54 excess of tax in Grove Township, Ordered that B.F. Langdon be released of $5.10 excess of tax in grove Township Ordered that J.M. Page be released of 36.40 excess of tax in Black river Township, Ordered that D.J. Tajclor be releived of 1;70. 16 excess of tax in Aversboro Township to be proportion out of the funds according to the tax rate of that Township. Ordered that Patrich and Draught= be releived of x!26.31 excess of tax in Aversboro Township tobe proportioned out of the diferent funds according to the rate of tax of that Township. Wathews to be charged to the stoch law teritory of Hectors Creek etc and to no other funds. ^rdere`! that S.S Bradley abd H.A. 4athews be allowed $166.06 as per bill rendered. Ordered that S.S. Bradley be allowed $45.00 for twenty two and one half days work .
