Minits of last meeting read and approved and ordered to stand as filed.
H.B. Buckanan a triple fron U.L. River Township was permant ly releived from payment of Poll tax.
J.L. Faulkner was allowed $9, for the suport of Minta Gaskin a pauper. of Neills Creek Township.
Owen Williams a Pauper of Averasboro Township was allowed $6 extra for suport.
A.L. Armstrong was allowed $8 for Keeping Essec McNeill one month,
Celia Norris deem Averasboro Township was placed on the Pauper list and allowed $2.
The matter of the Lillington Road funds was continued.
T.W. Harrington was allowed a duplicate order for Rachel McLean a pauper.
On Motion of Mr J.E. Wilson the Chairman and Mr Fuquay to act with the Mayor
and to pass on certain recomendations of Dr Halford the Supt of Health as to
be made in the County Jail and the open closets of the town.
J.E. Wilson was appointed to investigate the condition/ of Alec Wood and to
ahpuld be done with him.
Order for public roads from Buies Creek to Barclaysville,and
roads to Intersect at Eli Baggetts the J.W. Flowers place to

J.E. Wilson was appointed to have the Bridge on Mingo on the Dunn and Newton
cpunty line repaired.

That the tax known as Schedule Band C be continued as heretofore that is the county tax equal to
amount levied by the State.
Also the taxes in all special Districts School fences and road be the same as last year except at
Lillington Road District it having been discontinued.
Ordered that the Supt of Schools of Cumberland county be directed to furnish the Clerk of this Board
with a list of Property subject to Taxation by the board within the Linden Special School District and
the clerk of this board thereupon ordered to enter said property upon the tax books and to levy a tax
of 30cts on the $100 of real and personal property and 90 cts on each Poal.
Board of Equalezation met according to ajournment and the Townships was taken up as follows: -
Buckhorn L.S. Mains Realestate was reasessed at $1200. J.A. Champions was reasessed at $800,
Neills Creek L. Ferrals was Reasessed at $1250 W.T. Morgans $400 Lillington Mary C. Stewart $2800
Stewarts creek ordered that the realestate in Stewarts creek be raised 10% above the asessment of the
assistant asess or . Duke Assessment of Irvin Cotton Mills referred to Mr Mathews and H.C. Stewart
to investigate and make final assessment after interviewing manager and getting such Imfomation from
other sources to them may seem expedient other Realestate in Duke Township be increased 12 1/2 % ove

Account of H.C. Stewart county tax Assessor reconsidered and allowed in full for $276.00
The lollowing resolution offered by the board of Health was adopted as follows :- At a meeting of the
county Board of Health in Lillington Tuesday Aug 1st the following resolution was unanimously adopted
and Secretary requested to submit the same to the Board of County Comissioners at their regular
meeting Monday August 7th 1911. Resoved; that the following Schedule of Fees be adopted subject to ap-
proval by the board of County comissioners. Inspection of County Home $4.00 Inspection of county
Jail $4.00 Inspection of Convict Camp $4.00 for ordiany Professional services to County's Wards usual
fees for Surgical Services two thirds usual Fees for Obste trical services 410.00 for Inspection of
School Childred 40cts each for each additional patient treated while at county home Jail or Convict
camp bocts
Resolved ,that the county Comissioners be and they are hereby requested and urged to purchase a suita-
ble amount of Diptheria antitoxin to care for the needs of the Countys indigent and that the said
antitoxin be distributed under the folowing rules; First that the Supt of Health shall designate at
least four suitable persons in different parts of the Bounty as custodians of the antitoxin Second
any Physician wishing to avail himself of the greatly reduced price of antitoxin, shall make appli-
cation for the same on a blank to be furnished by the county, setting forth the amount used the person
on whom used and the price paid. Third; the Supt of Health shall make quaetely reports and returns of
all moneys received from the sale of antitoxin. V.C. Mathews chairman of Board of Health

The following resolution was offered and adopted:- August 7th 1911 North Carolina Harnett County.
Office of the Register of Deeds of Harnett county. Whereas : the county of Harnett owns a valuable
of about 140 acres upon which the county home is located, and Whereas,.this Board of County comission-
ers are of the opinion that no better uee can be employed for said farm than the establishment of
a model or experiamental farm on said lands for the purpose of stimulating the interest of our people
in the modern methods of farming and the improvment of our Live stock and the use of improved farm
machinery, now it is resolved: That we will establish such a farm on said land at once or as soon as
possible; and that a comittee of Tbeee be appointed to visit said farm and to make a full report at the
next meeting of this body as to what' buildings should be erected, what stock should be bought, and what
other improvments should be made to carry out the purpos e of this resolution as stated above, and that
said comittee shall also report what the cost of such buildings stock farm implements, will be accor-
ding to their estimate. and that it is the further sense of this board that all paupers of the county
who are aided by this board out of the pauper funds be recuired to live in the county home and to do
such labor on the farm as they may be able to perform, and that no allowance shall be made for suck
