Monday July 10th 1911, the County Comissioners met with the county Assessor
and the assistant assessors for the purpse of the equa&ezation of the tax lists for the year 1911

Stewart, absent W.H. Stephenson,
On motion of J.N. Fuquay J.E. Wilson and Chm VFC. Mathews was appointed a comittee to assist mr idt.
H.C. Stewart county assessor in going over the books of the different Townships and make report at
the adjourned meeting July 24th 1911 Mr B.F. Williams was heard in regards to his assessment in
Black river Township and was refereed to the comittee appointed above
All complaints as to assessments was referred to the committbe appointed above.
The board of Equealization then adjourned, and the Board of County Comissioners met in adjourned
session.
On motion of J.E. Wilson the purging of the Jury list was left till the regular meeting in August.
The board adjourned to meet July 24 th for the purpose of settlimg with the sheriff, on account
of the abscence of the Sheriffs Attorney settlement could not be made this day the loth of July .
Monday July 24th 1911 County Comissioners met for the purpose of Settling with the Sheriff,
Present V.C. Mathews Chm D.P. McDonald, B.F. Williams J.N. Fuquay J.E. Wilson Full Board Present.

After running up the credits #of the Sheriff, and given him credit fot the Insolvents Polls
31727.61 and land sales $812.97. it was found that the Sheriff was due the county $6005.07 which
was paid by the Sheriff, and a settlement was made in full for the year 1900.
As to the matter of investigation of the settlement of 1908 and 1909 with the Sheriff was put off
for next meeting August 8th 1911.
On motion of J.E. Wilson it was ordered that the Insolvent list of 1910 presented by the Sheriff
be received and credited to the account of the Sheriff for 1910, and. the Sheriff was requested to
tear out and present to the board the tax receipt of the Insolvents Polls to the ammount of
$1727.61.
And it was also ordered that the Insolvent lists be recharged to the Sheriff with dtxxzttans in-
structions to collect all that could be collected and make reports monthly of his collections.

It was also ordered that the land sales report presented by the Sheriff to the ammount of $748.93
be received and credited to the sheriffs account for 1910.
The board of County Comissioners adjourned and met with the Comittee appointed on July 10th 1911
to equalize the taxlists. Present V.C. Mathewa Chm J.N. Fuquay, and B.F. Williams,
On motion of J.N. Fuquay, the Settlement with Sheriff J.B. bonier for the taxes fggr� the year 1910
is hereby accepted and approved and the balance found due by the Sheriff of $6000.07, having this
day been paid to the County Treasurer as evidenced by the Treasurers receipt having been exhibeted
to theboard. It is ordered by the board that the Clerk be and he is hereby directed to distribute
and credit to the proper funds the several amounts paid in by the Sheriff, to the end that the
Sheriffs account with each funds may be properly Balanced.
The report of the county Treasurer was read and accepted anf ordered filed and recorded, and the
Orders to the following ammounts was received and cancelled Pauper ordeed $336.55 General
County funds $1872.11, Jury Tickets $349.10, bridge funds'$ 22.50 BuckHorns Hectors Creek fence
orders $127.32 Harnett County Bridge Bonds Coupons $950.00
On motion of County Assessor H.O. Stewart the Townships of Duke and Grove was left Open till
next first Monday or as August Oth 1911.
The clerk was directed to notify all person of their raise in the assessment so as to allow them
hearing if one was wanted.
The board adjourned till the next regular Meeting.
