• Comissioners met in regular session-present V.C. Mathews Chm ,D.P. McDonald, J.E. Wilson. B.F. Williams
J.N. Fuquay, having been appointed Comissioner to fill the vacancy made by the regisnation of A.F. John-
son took the oaths precribed by law and was duly inducted into the office of Comissionr.
On motion of J.N. Fuquay the question of reconsidering the action of the board in regard to the cot-
ton weigher of the Town of Dunn, was carried and a motion to concur with the Town Comissioner of
Dunn in the election of R.C. McNeill was made by Mr Fuquay and was carried.
On motion of J.E. Wilson it was ordered that the good road election heretofore ordered to be held on
July 27th 1911 be and the same is hereby called off and the Poll holders and Registrars heretofore
appointed are discharged and the Clerk of the Board is hereby ordered to notify them of the same
and the Registrars are ordered to turn in the books and this Election is called to be held on November
7th 1911.

The question of D.H. McLean property being listed-by error in the Lillington School District Was
left off-till next Monday.
The report of the Grand Jury for the May Term of the Superior Court was received and ordered filed.
On motion of J.N. Fuqay it was ordered that J.C. Clifford Atty be authorized to confer with the Com,
of Humberland county in regards to the new Territory annexed to Harnett county from Cumberland co.,
and if Necessary to bring suit to decide the question of the tax list.
The report of the Special School election of Grove district # 7 for Special tax was received and
ordered filed and recorded. -

The report of the Town Election of Angier was received and ordered filed and recorded.
The report of the Jury of Grove Township in laying off the public road from the Johnston county line
near Bethel Church to the Coats and Benson road near John W. Williams was read and rejected and a new
survey by a new jury was ordered. -
We the undersigned Comissioners duly summoned and qualified by law to lay out a county road in Harnett
county Averasboro Township at the Termination of Harnett Street Dunn N.C. to the Public road at L.D.
Ennis house did meet and lay out said road and do assess the Damages to be nothing to any party.

To the Board of Comissioners of Harnett county We, the undersigned G.E. Prince and W.J. Olive having
been appointed' by the Board of Comissioners of Harnett and Cumberland counties, respectively for the,
purpose of locating the line dividing Harnett and Cumberland Counties, as defined in an act of the
General Assembly of North Carolina, entitled, " An act to enlarge the territory of Harnett county by
adding thereto a portion of the county of Cumberland" ratified on the 6th day of March 1911; did on the
16th day of May 1911, pOursant to former agreemant'and appointment, meet on the East Bank of Cape Fear
River, and on said Day and the following days May 17th 18th 19th and 22nd, proceed to survey ,locate
and mark said line; the undersigned W.J. Olive being actually present only on the first and last days
of said survey, that is to say on the 16th day of May 1911 and the 22 day of May 1911. The line surveyed
and marked by us is designsted as follows; Beginning at a stake on the West end of the Sleeper on the
upper side of LightWwod.knot Bridge on the West bank of Mingo, with 4 chops on the West side of said
Stake, with a sweet gum pointer on the lower side of the bridge 23* links from the stake; and water oak
on the upper side oT the bridge 22 links from the stake, and a dead pine on the lower side of the road
on the West side of the bridge,64 links from the stake, and runs North 78i degrees West, 406 chains
to a large Chesnut oak on the East Bank of Cape Fear River, 95 links from the edge of the low water
mark, with the chain held on a level, the said Chenut oak being just below the old Bass ferry road
on the Est bank of Cape Fear River, opposite the mouth or Lower Little River, and is chopped as fore
and aft tree with four chops on each side. the line is also marked by a peise of iron piping on the
East side of said Chenut oak. To continue the line same course 78E West) from said Chesnut oak, strikes
the Mouth of Lower Little River on the West side of Cape -Fear River. the line between the two Termini
as above designated, is marked by 3 chop(' on side lines or elbow trees , and 4chops on each side of fore
and aft trees. The line runs about 30yards South of the'Reaidence of the William B. Pope place, runs
30yards South of the residence of the C.F. Pope place, now owned by J.J. Wade, crossing Black River
about 100 yards below the old Flax ford, and crossing the A.C.L. Nall road, 59.78 chains South of the
51 mile post and crossing the Dunn and Godwin road, running by L. TewO's , about 100 yards North of L.
Tew's residence on the old Godwin place, passing through -the South corner of G.H. Hemingwayis barn s
shelter, leaving his residence and barn in Harnett and 'crossing the Averasbore and Fayettville road
about 40 yards North of the residence of F.W. Page. the line is also designsted as follows:
By a peice of iron piping driven down in the line on the'West side of the Tollowing roads on Averasboro
and Fayettville roads near F.W. Page's on Dunn and Godwin road near L. Tew's place and the road leading
from Dunn to Rhodes mill, near C.F. Pops place, now owned by J.J. Wade.
