Monday April 3 rd 1911, County Comissioners met in regular Session present V.
D.P. McDonald,A.W. Gregory, J.E. Wilson absent A.F. Johnson,
On complaint of the Citizens of Neills Creek and Black River Townships N.A. Stewart, and
Road Supervisors of the Reppective Townships, are Summond to appear before this board at
meeting on the First Monday in May and show cause, why that road has not been worked.

The public road disputes of Averasboro Townspip are left to be settled by the Chairman of this Board
The Publis road of Hectors Creek Township was ordered to be laid off a petition having been duly filed
according to law the expence to be paid by the petitioners to be as follows to lead from W.A. Mathews
by way of J.A. Smiths. is to be changed to come by way of the Mineral Springs, then by the most direct
route to the station and entering the present road at the School House,
Worth Carolina Harnett county Grove Township, To the Board of Comissioners of Said County We W.J. Mc
Stewart, B.F. Johnson, and C.P. Stewart, after being Sworn by the Sheriff of Said Oounty, met on the
28th day of February,1911 and proceeded to lay off and mark out said road as ordered there was no
damage claimed by any person over whose land said road was marked out, the above road is from Nvgvxds

d and took the oath and qualified for that position,
1,5. MorganJr having been appointed one of the Comissioners of said fence Territory declined to accept
said office it is ordered by this board that J.M. Stewart, is hereby appointed in his stead.
J.F. Arnold having been elected Constable of Buck Horn Township, presented his Official Bond the same
was accepted and ordered filed and recorded.
A.A. Patterson having failed to qualify as Constable of U.L. River Township G.P. Mimms is hereby appoin
-ted by this board and the clerk of this board is authorized to receive his official bond.
Pursuant to the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of North Carolina Entitled an Act to en-
large the Territoty of Harnett county by addiding thereto a portion of Bumberland County Ratified the
6th day of March 1911, It is ordered by the Board of Comissioners of Harnett county that Geo E. Prince
be and he is hereby appointed a Suywpor to act with such Suveyor as shall be appointed by the Board
of Comissioners of Cumberland county in laying off and definitely marking the new line dividing said
counties towit;- The line leading from Lighwood knot Bridge on Black Mingo to the mouth of Lower Little
River as defined in said Act, and said Suveyor with the Jointeof said Cumberland County suveyor is
required to report theit joint acts hereunder to the respective boards of Harnett and Cumberland
counties at their respective sessions to be held on the First Monday of May Next.
By an act of the General :Assembly an Act to require additional service of the Chairman of the Board
of Comissioners of Harnett county, See House Bill 724 Senate Bill 670, All accounts Petitions and
claims against the county or petitions for roads ,Bridges or Special Elections shall be presented to
'the Chm of this board at least Three Mays before the regular Meetings of this board and audited by him
before being passed on by this board, and he shall have $300 a year for this special service.
In accordance with anAct of the Legislature Authorizing the county eomissioners of Harnett county
to call a special electon in U.L. River Lillington and Neils Creek Townships respectively to submit
the question of issuing Township Bonds to aid in the Construction of The Central Carolina Rail Road
Said election is hereby ordered to be held on the 6th day of May 1911 at their Respective Polling
places in said Townships, and the following Registrars and Judges are appointed as follows towit-
