Upom recomendaticn of J.W. Ualford Coroner it was.ordered that the sun of 4200.00 be allowed for the the Chemical Analysis of the Heart Liver and Stomach of S.R. Brewer ,who was found dead under suspi -cious circumstances. It is ordered by the board that J.W. Lucas, of Duke Township be and is hereby appointed list taker for the year 1912 in the place of W.D. Barnes who refused to serve. Ordered that V.C. igathews chm be authorized to have a List taker appointed for Hectors creek tow. -uship for the year 1912 in place of Walter Pearson who refused to serve. It is hereby ordered that the County appropiate sufficient amount not to exceed $300.00 to be used on road on North side of Cape Fear River, from the Bridge to Greens Cross roads provided however that the Sum of $200.00 be raised by private subscription. for the same. Ordered that J.P. Fuquay be appointed to get a deed from N.S. Green for Right of way of road from Greens cross °roads to the river for a public road. . On motion of J.E. Wilson seconded by-B.F. Williams. that the County Comissioners refuse to appoint a county Supt of Roads as provided in Baggetts Bill of 1911 motion carried J.E. Wilson and B.F. Willi - ili.ame voting aye and J.N. Fuquay voting no. Upon a petition of the4Mayor and Aldermen of the Town of Lillington, that no license be granted to any Drug Store of the Town of Lillington for the selling of Intoxicant liquors by prescription, it'is hereby ordered that the county comissioners hereby agree not. to allow any License in Lillington or any other place in the county of Harnett for the selling of intoxacant liquors by prescription. IN THE MATTER OF THE EXTENSION OF THE DUKE TOWNSHIP STOCK LAW. THIS Board having heretofore, to -wit, at its adjourned session held on the 15th day of Januaryy1912, upon a petition of more than one fifth of the qualified voters residing therein having called an Election to be held upon the question of Stoc #law or no Stock law in the following described territory to -wit; All of that part of Harnett county'which was annexed to said county fron the count' of Cumberl- and and lying on the West side of the Atlantic Coast Line rail road company; and said Election having been held pursouant to the call of said board on the 20th day of February 1912; and it appearing to this board upon report of G.L. Hemingway registrar N-W. .starling and N.R. Lucas Judges of said Elec- tion; that at said Election there was cast -for stock law six votes ;and against Stock law three votes It is now ordered by the board of Comissioners of Harnett county that Stock law be and the same is declared to be in force within said territory, and that said stocklaw be and the same is hereby merged and incorporated with the Duke Township Stock law created by an act of the General Assembly of 1911 set forth as Chapter 463 Public local laws of 1911. It it further ordered by the board of Comissioners that ?i.D. Barnes E.W. Smith and Wilson H. Lucas being the fence comissioners named in said Act of the General Assembly be and they are hereby appoin- ted fence comissioners of the entire territory as enlarged by said Election.
