D.H.Nordan being absent, and having filed his oath, his written resignation, to take effect at once was offered.Upon motion of E.H.Gardner,seconed by A.A.Shaw the motion to accept the resignation was unanimously carried. John McLeod having been elected Register of Deeds for the ensuing two years, presented Rio official bond in the sum of FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS with the american surety company As bondsman, was accepted and took the several oaths prescribed by. law and was inducted Into office. J.McKay Byrd having been elected Sheriff of Harnett County for the ensuing two years presented his official Process Bond in the sum of FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS with the New England Casualty Company as bondsman, was accepted and he took the several oaths Prescribed by ]aw and was inducted into office. W.F.Byrd having been elected Clerk of the Superior Court of Harnett County for the Ensuing FOUR years, Presented his official Bond in the sum of TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS With the American Surety Company as Bondsman,was accepted and he took the several Oaths prescribed by law and was inducted into Office. N.T.Patterson having been elected County Treasurer for Harnett County for the ensuing Two years presented his Official Bonds,in the sum of THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS,with the Aetna Life Insurance Company,Surety for TWSNTY THOUSAND DOLLARS, and the National Surety Cpy,, For TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS, as Bondsmen, was accepted. He took the several oaths prescribed By law and was inducted into Office. Dr C.R.Young having been elected Coroner for Harnett County for the ensuing two years Presented his official Bond in the sum of TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS, with E.H.Gardner as Bondsman, was accepted and he took the several oaths prescribed by law and was inducted Into Office. Dr C.ieYoung,Having offered his resignation as Coroner,the same was accepted by the Board. J.C.Pope, Having been elected constable of Aversboro Township for the ensuing 'TWO Years presented his Official Bond in the sum of FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS with the New - England Casualty Company,as thurety on said Bond. He took the several oaths prescribed By law. Those voting on the above bonds was: E.H.Gardner, A.A.Shaw, And H.N.Bizzell, Voting Aye, No One voting NO. Upon reconvening W.P.Byrd Clerk Of Superior @curt notified the Board that he thereby appoint- ed D.H.Senter, Commissioner to fill the vacency caused by resignation of D.H.Nordan, D.H.Senter Thereupon took the oath as commissioner of Harnett County and was duly received as the member Of theboard. After A General Discussion Uf the County Affairs The Board took up the matter of the renting of the County Farm for The Year 1915. With the result that the farm was rented Also the Home, To B.F.Norris, for the Year 1915, for the sum of TWENTY FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS,(2t00)Pounds Of Ylddling Lint Cotton, The Clerk being ordered to draw L Contract similar to one previously made by the Board with E.F.Norris, The Board then took up for consideration and passed, the following orders: J.W.Byrd, A.L.Baughom, E.V.Green, J.F.Pittmar.
