Parkerpf was appointed Registrar and W.J. Parker and W.F. Marsh Jr were appointed judges of said Election, and Whereas , said Election was held and reported by said Registrar and Judges as directed, which report is filed in the office of the Registrar of deeds of #arnett nounty and shows the folltwtng Numbe of Votes cast 122 number of votes for.bond issue 118 number of votes against bond issue 4 numbe of votes registered 168 number of votes registered and not voting 46, and it appearing from the foregoingr170 report that the said Election$' was carried by a majority of the qualified voters in favor of the said Bond issue, be it reso: by the board be it resolved by the board that the said bonds for the improvement of said roads are hereby declared carried, and in•all respects the said Election was held in accordance with the law and it further appearing to the board that at said Election the voters cast votes for Township Road Comissioners and the result of said Election showing that Dr J.W. Halford and H.T. Spears and W.P. Byre were duly elected by a majority of the votes cast; it is further /% ordered by this board that the sai( Comissioners be and they are hereby empwered to make contractsand agreements concerning the constructi( and enginee ring and other necessary contracts to carry out the construction and improvement of the roa( of Lillington Township and shall have full charge of the same, to handle and expend such funds as may come into the treasury to be expended on said Lillington Township roads .
