Gregory is not willing to list his taxes he be returned unlisted. O.p. Shell listed his cotton to the amount of $600.00 Henry Overby was placed on the list for outside poor and be given $6.00 per quarter. Otho Kelly of Buck Horn Township was releived from Poll tax for 1914. Dr J.P. Halfor H.T. Spears and W.P. Byrd were elected road comissioners for Lillington Township By a petttion from Hectors Creek Township,o. Bradley , R.T. Johnson, and John S. Barker were appointed road comissioners for Hectors Creek Township. By a Petitionfrom U.L. River Township, T.B. McLeod, D.P. Whereas , on the first Monday in June 1914 there was filed before the board of county comissioners of Harnett County e petition signed by one third of the qualified voters of Grove Township of said County asking for a special Election, to be held in said Township on the 14th day of JC'y 1914 for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of said Township the question of voting on Bonds to be invested in the construction of The Central Caroline Road through said Township in accordance with Chapter 779 of the Public Local Levis of the General Assembly Of North Carolina at its Session of 1913 and Whereas said Election was duly Called by this board end properly advertised ir_aueor34 -Anse with the laws providing for the same; and Where's acid Election was held in Grove Township of Harnett County on the 14th day of July 1914 wherein the question of Voting Bonds in the Sum of $25,000.00 to be invested in the construction of the Centre]. Witnes seth; That Whereas on the First Monday of June 1914 The County Coaissibners of Harnett County celled a special Election As authorized in Chapter 779 of the Public Losal laws of the session of 1913 of the General Assembly of IIO lh Caroline , for the purpose of voting on a Twenty Five Thousand Do11ar($25,000.00) bond issue for Lillington Township, said Bonds to be invested in the construction of the Centre]. CArolinm; end whereas it is found by Actual Measurement will not proaby build more then one mile of /tell Road in Lillington Township end where's the act of the General Assembly Authorizes the Township to invest only $5000.00 per mile which investment is to be secured by first mortg'ge bonds on the said WWII r'il rood and where's the party of the first part desires to be fair end doed not wish to tike 'ny Adv'ntege of the public in the investment 'nd whereas the said net makes the minumia amount Amount of bonds to be voted in Lillington Township (25,000.00; And whereas the Central Carolina Rail rood Cos Any desires to use( only 35000.00 of said Bonds. Now Therefore in consideration of the people of illing on Township ISP ate— / voting for said bonds as provided for in chapter 779 of the public local laws of the Gneral Assembly of North Carolina at its ses sicn of 1913, The Central Carolina Rail road Coampany hereby agrees and binds itself and successors and assigns, not to ask or make demand upon the county comissioners of Harnett County, at any time for more than $5000.00 of said issue. • And it is expressly and mutually agreed by the parties hereto, that the county Comissioners of Harnett County shall not at this or any future time issue and deliver to the Central Carolina Rai -1 road or its sucessors or assigns more than $5000.00 of said Lillington Township Bonds, and shall not in any event deliver any of the kW bonds except upon the said Rail Road Company first having perfectly constructed approximately one mile of Rail Road in said Lillington Township as apart of a con tinous line extending from Lillington Eastward, and delivering an equal amount of its first Mortgage bonds as provided for in the act heretofore mentioned.
