SYsw Clerk gilt? SW County Comissioners met Monday July 13 th 1914 with the list takers to receive the tax list and to transact such other business as may come before them. Present Monday July 6th 1914 E.F. Young attorney was authorized to advertise the good road bonds for Black River Township. North Carolina Harnett County') This Agreement made and entered into this the 6th day of July 1914 by and between the ¢1($X /(j Central Cnrolinn Railroad Company, Party of the first part, and the Board of county Comissioners of Harnett County , party of the second part. Witneasetg, That Whereas on the first day of June 1914, the County Comissioners of Harnett County called a special Election ns author- ized in Chapter 779$ of the public local laws of the session of 1913 of the General Assembly of North caroling, for the purpose of voting on A Twenty Five Thousand Dollar (325,000,00) Bond issue for Lillington Township, said bonds to be invested in the construction of the Central Carolina Rail rond and whereas it is found( by actual measurement that the Centrnl Carolina Rail road Company will not probably build more than one mile of road in Lillington Township And whereas the the the net of the General Assembly authorizes the Township to invest only 35,000.00 per/ mile which investment is to be secured by first mortgage bonds on the said Rail Road and whereas the party of the first part desires to be fair and does not wish to take any advantage of the public in the investment; and whereas, the said act makes the minumim amount of bonds to be voted in Lillington Township 325,000.00 and whereas the Centrnl Caroling Rail Rnod Company desires to use only 35000,00 of said bonds Now there fore, inconsideration of the People of Lillington Township votingfof said bonds as pro- vided for in Chapter 779 of the public local laws of the General nssembly of North Carolina nt its session of 1913, The Centrnl Carolinn Rnil road Company hereby agrees and binds itself and its successors and assigns, not to ask or make demand upon the county comissioners of Harnett County Pt any time , for mote than 35000,00 of said issue. And it is expressly and mutually agreed by the parties hereto, that the county Comissioners of Harnett County shall not nt this or nny future time issue And deliver to the Central Carolina Railrond, or its sucessors en( assigns more than 35000.00 of said Lillington Township Bonds, and shall not in any event deliver nny of the bonds except upon the said roil road company first having perfectly constructed approximately one mile of rail road in said Lillington Township, and delivering an equal amount of its first mortgage bonds as provided for in the net hertofore mentioned, North Carolina Wayne County) I, Eli President cf The Central Cnrolim the due execution of the foregoing Centrnl Carolina Rail Rond Company By W.J.
